Can I commission a felted piece if I live in the EU?
Yes, I’m happy to ship to the EU!
Here’s what to expect depending on where you place your order:
1. If you order directly from this website :
I currently don’t collect VAT at checkout.
For EU customers, your local customs office may charge:
-
VAT (typically 20–25%)
-
A customs handling fee
This especially applies to orders over €150, like Turbo Granny – they fall outside the EU’s simplified VAT system (IOSS), and VAT is very likely to be charged on delivery.
(Example: a recent Italy order over €150 was charged 22% VAT even though it was marked as original artwork.)
I use the correct customs code (HS 9703.90 – Original artwork) and include all documentation to help things go smoothly, but fees are ultimately up to your country’s customs system.
2. If you order through my Etsy shop:
Etsy collects VAT at checkout and uses the IOSS system, which usually means:
- No extra fees on delivery for orders under €150
- A smoother customs process overall
For orders over €150, Etsy’s IOSS doesn’t apply — so VAT and fees may still be charged by your local customs office, just like website orders.
If you’d prefer this method, I’m happy to set up a custom Etsy listing for your commission. Just ask!
Which should I choose?
You want... | Best Option |
To avoid delivery fees (under €150) | Order via Etsy |
A larger/custom piece (over €150) | Order directly via this website |
A fandom commission or one-off idea | Either works — I’ll help you choose |
Still unsure?
Just send me a message and I’ll help figure out the best option for you!
